Tariq Alhajeri's Cadillac Obsession

In a city dominated by super cars and luxury SUV’s, our mission was to dive deeper into the under belly of the automotive world in the UAE. In the hope of finding the true enthusiasts hiding there. Tariq Alhajeri could collect anything he wanted, modern art, paintings or even stamps but instead his obsession leads him to a collection of classic Cadillacs. He was immediately captivated by the behemoth size of these American icons. Built in an era without restrictions, Cadillac pushed innovation and how luxurious a car could be. It’s not just about owning these cars either, Tariq has developed the technical skill to maintain and modify each car in his collection. To really accentuate the sheer size of the Cadillac, all of them have been air bagged with the goal of getting them as close to the ground as physically possible. This might sound easier than you think but there is huge amount of work and understanding to extract every millimetre from the ground clearance. It’s this touch that makes Tariq’s collection so special to him.
