Ryo Maeda's 18 year long dream of owning a Hakosuka

When Ryo Maeda was just 10 years old, he stumbled across his dream car. Parked in a driveway was a Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R. Having never seen one before, Ryo was mesmerized.

"What are you doing to my car?" - a voice called from the distance.

Ryo explained he was only admiring it. But before he knew it, the owner was giving him a ride home in it.

That day, the dream of eventually owning a GTR was born. Luckily Ryo was given a business card by the owner, and on the back was his address. Every year, Ryo would send the man a happy New Years card.

Fast forward 18 years, the phone rings.

"Have you got yourself a GTR yet?"

After all this time, the owner was offering to sell Ryo the car, the little boy he give a lift home to all those years ago. Of course he couldn't let the opportunity slip by him.

This is Ryo Maeda's Hakosuka
